Or may be suburban stations do not really use contactless payments? My guess then is that in Repubblica suburban and metro station is same location and there it would be possible to use contactless payment to exit the gates and let the system calculate what the price was.
Now I wonder if in Bovisa Politecnico I would just change from one track to another or will I need to go outside through turnstiles and then back again so to get new pass. I know that MXP ticket does not cover metro lines but if I am correct there is contactless payment entry to all metro stations, so I could move quickly in Cadorna from MXP train to M2.īut instead I am also tempted change to suburban train in Bovisa Politecnico to go to Repubblica station and get to Centrale from there. (I do not want also to use online ticket as it requires direction I will go, either Cadorna or Centrale). But there is point where catching MXP train to Milano Cadorna might save me instead of waiting for next train to Milano Centrale that will come too late. If I happen to get MXP train to Milano Centrale no questions asked.
As far as I know it is possible to use contactless payment card to get MXP train pass / ticket quickly. I know about bus services but I am looking more towards MXP train. It might get tight if my flight arrives a bit late. I am looking to do rather quick transfer from Milano Malpensa aeroport to Milano Centrale next Sunday.
